So, I'm roughly 2 weeks Postop with Dr.Suporn here.
Things seem to be healing well.

One problem:
I didn't bring any hormones from home.
And that would be OK except for now I wake up with a painful morning-erection situation everyday.
Having a little spironolactone or estradiol would fix that.
Perhaps the doctor would prescribe me some?
Or perhaps a patient here might have some spironolactone they no longer need?

Congratulations on your surgery!!  :)

If I may ask...why'd you leave home without the 'mones?

And a second question, if I may...what do you mean by "a painful morning-erection situation"?
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

I didn't want to start back on estrogen so soon because of the DVT risk on the flight home.
So didn't bring any.

Basically, there is quite a bit of erectile tissue still with the clit and behind that area.
So anything like morning-wood or any sexual thoughts causes painful swelling.

Oh yeah, I'd forgot about DVT risk...well I guess don't have sexy dreams when sleeping, then... ;)...hope the rest of your healing process goes well for you!!

*hugs*

(And are you really walking around there? Like, outside?)

Hi Calixx,
if you go out of the hotel onto the main street and take a left and keep to where the main intersection with the timed lights and there is a chemist on the corner where you can purchase the medications you need. I purchased provera there and know they have spiro too as you may need. I personally started back on my meds at a lower dose of course, about 2 weeks after surgery and getting Dr Suporns clearance to proceed. Never had any problems with DVT travelling either so as long as you keep yourself moving whilst in the air you should be fine :-)

Hope you are healing well.
