I hope you have all had a good Christmas?!
I thought I was going to have a really bad one as my brother and sister in law no longer talk to me. However, I went to the pub with my dad to have a Christmas day drink with some of his side of the family.  It's the first time since they all got told and I went full time.

I was so nervous and felt embarrassed, I can cope with strangers (as I now know I pass) but these people have known me my entire life.  Anyway, I walked into the pub and I got a huge hug from my uncle's partner.  The guys all looked so sheepish around me, although they all said hi, it was funny is a very strange way.  My auntie and my female cousin then arrived, gave me hugs and they pretty much ushered me into the corner to sit, where the 4 of us girls went and chatted for an hour!  The boys came and talked in little bits and so I actually managed to relax with everyone.

I was told they would accept me and that they all did, it felt so nice, I think this is the best Christmas gift I could have hoped for; after not even been acknowledged by my brother.  Although, the nicest gesture actually came from my youngest male cousin, he gave me a hug and a peck on the cheek like all the other women when he left , all the other guys shook my hand lol!

Oh there was of course my girlie presents from people... my first Christmas as a girl  :)

Congratulations. If I were you, I would have grabbed their hands as I shook them and pulled, all so I could give them a big ol' hug!  :icon_hug: :icon_hug: :icon_hug:

Great news! Isn't it funny how it's the guys who generally act "sheepish" and uneasy around us?

Awkward moments 101... ::)    ;)

This is AWESOME.  8)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Great news!

Yep guys are often sheepish, and woman are often very accepting.

It takes guys a while to get their brains around it all. After all they think they are the 'superior gender'  :laugh:

Hugs Darling,

Merry Christmas to you and your family
