So, yesterday afternoon, and this morning were simply glorious! I finally was able to create the opportunity to come out to my older son and his wife and they were also absolutely fabulous! Every bit as wonderful as my younger son. They love me and support my transitioning, and were clearly excited for me. My daughter-in-law says she would love to help me with hair and makeup, and go clothes shopping with me.
We fixed a great dinner last night of spaghetti with Italian Sausage and fresh pressed garlic, then we went out to favorite night club for some live music, went out to the patio where we could talk some more. They both read some of my creative writing on my blog, and we talked about transition. They TOTALLY get this. It is so exciting.
I fixed breakfast this morning en femme, and we watched some trans videos together, including Lana Wachowski's HRC award acceptance speech, and selections by Jessica Tiffany, Meghan's Life, and part of I am Jazz.
How blessed am I? Both grown sons and a daughter-in-law that support my transition and are just amazing! I am deliriously happy!
We often say that you have to be prepared to lose everyone, and my heart breaks for those who do, but I am here to say it doesn't always have to be that bad.
Cheers all!
