PAI plans overseas expansion

Preecha Aesthetic International (PAI), operator of PAI Dermatology and Laser Centre, is planning business joint ventures to set up centres for cosmetics and reconstructive plastic surgery in Vietnam and Dubai by the end of this year.

I am not phased at all. Dr. Preecha is not a compassionate man.
He is only interested in doing business, making more money out of his patients and expanding.
I visited his new clinic in July to have my 2nd revision with him, the clinic was pretty fancy.
I just think he is racing against other surgeons so he gets a track record for doing the most SRS's.
He is not very interested in patients who had complications from his surgery. He prefers not to know.
He did not even attend my follow up appointment because he wanted to have his starbucks coffee and he left as I was waiting in the room and he smiled and left so I had to wait for his assistant surgeon Dr. Burin Wang to do my follow up and Dr. Burin was not thorough so he missed out a detail which was I had a deep labial split, I had to deal with that myself after I flew home. To anyone who is considering PAI, stay away from them. You are better off seeing another private surgeon who was trained by him maybe, because a private surgeon is more likely to spend time with you in terms of consultation, visits after surgery and follow-up. PAI is like a production line, its always in and out, a planning of surgery/patient education or follow-up/post-op education should not be rushed.

It is an awful shame you have had such a bad experience with PAI.
I have had 7 surgeries with PAI, Dr Preecha, Dr K, Dr Sutin, Dr Burin and others from his team.
I travel to BKK to see PAI and take new girls there every year, mostly twice a year I have now taken over 10 girls to see them and there has been minimal complications, but IT IS MEDICINE and every single procedure there is risk.
It is a shame you feel he is not a compassionate man, as he has done more for transsexuals across the world than any other surgeon. Again it is an awful shame that you do not feel you received good service as I have never known them to give anything but, and as I have been there twice a year since 2006, I think your case is in the minority or experiences.
I have read you on these blogs blagging not only Dr Preecha and PAI but also girls who have had very good results and are happy.
and thats the biggest shame of all.

But in all honesty, Dr Preecha and PAI are exceptional surgeons for FFS and SRS for us.

There's a few comments I'll make here..

Firstly, it seems like many of the Thai surgeons are being labelled with a 'Production Line' tag. I'm not sure if this is entirely deserved, but having seen Suporn's surgical schedule, I'm forced to wonder. Also, it seems that many more of the un-happy patients are taking a stand and letting the world know what went wrong - this in addition to the whispered comments from non-Thai surgeons about the numbers of repairs and revisions they do also makes me wonder.

Secondly, expansion of access to facilities is not a bad thing - but will SRS be done at these new locations or will they only be for other procedures?

Long ago, I had a lot of faith in Dr. Preecha and his clinic PAI.

I did go to him because my friends at the time had used his clinic's services.

While i was over there, i got to meet other girls who also had issues.

Every surgery i had performed by their team went wrong.

Besides my SRS that went wrong, Dr. Burin Wang gave me a deep labial tear which was confirmed by a local SRS surgeon. I had to have cortisone treatment, I ended up going to 2 different SRS surgeons in Thailand to have seperate revisions.
He did a horrible liposuction on me which I had to get a revision on by a local specialist.
My stomach was full of major dents, lumps and too much scar tissue. Also he did my tracheal shave, he did a good job cosmetically, but my vocal cords are damaged, my voice is raspier, i can't go as high as i used to. I need to get laser surgery to tighten my vocal cords so I am considering visiting Dr. Thomas in near future.

What makes me so angry about them is, when you have complications or issues, they just ignore you and do not find a solution.
They even try to charge for revision surgeries when they are meant to be free of charge.

I have met quite a few Thai surgeons during my journey and the only Thai surgeon i would regard as being ethical and compassionate is Dr. Kunaporn.

I wish I saved enough and had stuff done locally, i am very regretful that i ever went overseas.
I had various cosmetic procedures and surgeries done locally, i have never had any issues with them (touch wood)
