Hi there, I am starting to research dr.'s for ffs. I've been seriously considering Dr.Lazaro Cardenas in Guadalajara, Mexico. Does anyone know ANYTHING about him? Good and bad? Anyone ever been down there for anything? I haven't found any bad reviews of him so far and i'm just trying to figure things out. His prices are affordable, which is lovely, but it kind of worries me how cheap things are. Please reply with any info you have. I would really appreciate it.

Not sure if I can post exact prices, but central/south america and east asia have a few reputable doctors. They are significantly less expensive even after including travel and lodging, but you'll have to overcome the language barrier. The biggest issue with going out of country, is that these doctors don't have to insure themselves for nearly as much as US doctors (thus the vast reduction in fees), and this also means less coverage for you, if there are complications, or the doctor makes a mistake.

Thanks for the reply. I am aware of the risks, but I have read a bunch of testimonials/reviews and all were positive and realistic. I have also seen before and after pictures that have been performed by him and they all look wonderful. The thing is, I am only 20 and this is all I can afford to finance.. I think it is worth the risk because I need to be a part of society and I think having this done would make things so much easier as far as finding employment etc. Also this specific Dr has owned his private practice for 20+ years, and he comes to the U.S. to do seminars etc. I feel like the benefit outweighs the risk.

Yes i know two people who went to him over 10 yrs ago. (i don't know where they are now) He has been doing FFS for at least 13 yrs.. They pick you up at airport and house you and do a fairly good job. Maybe not as drastic as DR O on the bone work which can be better for many. He designs each person individually unlike all DR O's gurls all have the same cut
I'm an Amazon womyn + very butch + respecting MWMF since 1999 unless invited. + I AM A HIPPIE

OK so here is the thing, I know of a girl,  who became an absolutely gorgeous woman, the kind you drool when she passes you in a hallway. She had Dr Cardenas do 2 surgeries. She was a beautiful woman after the first one but like with some of us, more sometimes is better. I had him price out the surgery for me and it came significantly less, well, it came hugely less then my previous surgeons quote. I personally am committed to my all time hero and original Dr. who gave me a NASA type quote (astro-nomical) but I know in my heart he is the one( clue- he lives in SF ). That is pertaining Craniofacial (bone work) but my face lift which follows craniofacial I am truly considering Cardenas for.

' the kind you drool when she passes you in a hallway' Sounds great! Either she looked pretty good to start with or the surgeon is really good at his job?

I have known two women who have FFS and breast augmentation with Dr. Cardenas. This was about five years ago, and he did a wonderful job on both of them. As far as I was aware they were both very happy with the outcomes. I hope this helps!
