This randomly came to my mind.

I Writte storys, both like book and comics.
generally I writtes in danish, but as some of my readers are not native, + I work with a guy from canada who jugde and somethimes translate my stuff, so often I write it in english just to spare some time.

I wonder who many on this site who writtes also write in a second languarge, in such caise which languarge do you prefern?

okay I gonna chance it a bit more openly, so it dosent nessesarry have to be storys you writte, it could also be on the net, penpall talking or anything ells which you do often in a second languarge from our native.

I hope more is able to answer now :)

I write in the second language all the time. :D Considering my native language is Finnish which isn't the most common language in the world.

I normally write in German and speak it as well. It has been very hard for me to learn english and I still have to go back and correct what I'm writing or saying multiple times. But as "they" say, practice makes perfect, and so, I must continue to work on it.

I write, speak, read German, my native tongue. I also write, read, speak Rumantsch, Italian and Spanish which I know very well, basically like a native. I know French a bit but I am not really familiar with writing it...

@Keaira & AlexxToDream
Seid ihr ursprünglich aus DE?

Wow now alot of answers came.

do you prefern your native or dose it depend?

in some centext I actually prefern to writte english. Ex if im making a story who takes place in england with alot of English slangs who just sound ridiculous in danish, then I feel it more natural to have it in english than danish.

Somethimes it also just feel more easy, or less personal. But it can be annoyince once in a while if you writte on a languarge and theres something you want to say but you cant say it as you want cause they dont have that way of speaking in the other languarge.

For writting I only writtes english or danish, When I chat I can use a couple of other languarges like norwegian, Japanese or germany, but my gramma is always extremly horrible on those (I know my gramma is horrible in general)

Do programming languages count?  My work is in C,  and I tend to use C++ or python for my personal projects.
Sometimes I blog things

Of course I'm sane.  When trees start talking to me, I don't talk back.

I write in both languages: Finnish and English. Have gotten a photography book published in both languages (of course it didn't contain a lot of text), have written blogs, web pages in both languages and I've worked the past 10 years only in English. I do consider English my second native language.

Now, to learn Swedish, which is actually the second official language here  ;D

The only spoken language I know is English, although I've probably learned a few words in French, Spanish and Japanese.  Not nearly enough to put together a sentence.

Means I dont really like writing in zulu because its very very detail requirements and most words have 3 to 6 meanings .... making it well annoying :P
