Tell me that this is not strange behavior from a police officer?

Yes I believe it and do not find it strange.  You do not know the circumstances of the above incident.  I'm sure she was warned before hand and all we are seeing is the part of the video she wants us to see.

She probably deserved to be arrested.
Nameless here for evermore!;  Merely this, and nothing more;

Ok then why why was the other female officer smiling about it?

No i don't know the circumstances, but the other female officer did not have a problem with bubbles.

*edit* aha well now I know the circumstances.

the video was completely edited. You have no idea what she did to get arrested. They were talking....then the video went blank...then it says "moments later." Video appears to be edited to prove a one sided story. If the video was unedited then ...MAYBE...

A world of things could have occurred in that edit.

Also, blowing bubbles in someone's face to encourage a conflict can be labeled as assault. It's no different than flicking dish soap in someone's face on purpose.

I used to be a police officer. Trust me..I've seen it all

QuoteHowever, according to CNews, Winkels confirmed that she wasn't arrested for blowing bubbles but instead detained for wearing a backpack and having a lawyer's number written on her arm. She was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit mischief over $5,000.
"The fact is that the bubbles had nothing to do with my arrest," she said. "The reason I was arrested is because I was wearing a backpack and had a lawyer's phone number written on my arm. This number was given out by lawyers, and they advised us to have it written somewhere on our bodies," said Winkels. "My medical supplies were taken and suggested they could be used as evidence for my charge."

There you have it, she was not arrested for the bubbles.

Again, the girls point of view.  Its obvious the girl was out to get arrested, its what she wanted.

Sorry, I don't feel any pity for her.

the lawyers advised to have her lawyer's name written on her body and that plus her backpack got her arrested?

Please don't fall for that

The cop seemed very professional although obviously irritated that he is having to deal with these people. At least she didn't end up face first in the concrete with handcuffs on. Good rule of thumb? "dont screw with cops". Most know the law enough to find a reason to mess up your day if you piss them off".

Well according to this article she was a peaceful demonstrator.

QuoteThe Canadian people paid for a billion dollar disaster when it hosted the G-8/G-20 Summit in Toronto recently.

Peaceful protesters, like the woman in the video below, were intimidated and arrested for exercising free speech and the freedom to assemble.

The G-8/G-20 Summit turned into a spectacle of government agent provacateurs provoking government police. They used this sham and charade as an excuse to break up the people from exercising their rights in a supposedly free society.

In the video below a person with a conscience blows bubbles at a rally. The police officers pretend that they were being threatened and a short time later arrest the girl.

The arrests made in Toronto were done to break up a movement in the streets that is growing. The people are turning against totalitarianism, fascism, disaster capitalism, and a reckless and irresponsible exploitation of people and resources for the benefit of the very few elite that run nearly all of the world.

crazy at the coast

antagonizing a police officer is not very peaceful.  She was just trying to push buttons, she kept at it til she hit the right one to get her arrested as was her wish.

people that do that stuff are about as bright as someone running out into traffic to prove that cars are dangerous.

These people? What, ones who protest to try and draw attention to the inequalities and abuses in our society? The police office was being a jackass. People have a right to a peaceful protest and not be spoken to in a demeaning manner by public servants. The female police office seemed to be fine with the situation. It was the male that was being a hot head. People don't have to be grateful not to be assaulted  by police. Law enforcement has no automatic right to be violent.

and the whole editing of the footage made me lose any type of credibility towards her

People are so quick to demonize police officers without taken the time that maybe...maybe just one cop in those youtube videos actually was innocent and the person arrested was really the bad guy. Be a cop for even a year....you will know what I mean

I am glad the officer canned her ass; she was a dumb ass. No sympathies at all here. If I was the officer I would have arrested when she first blew bubbles in the face of the female officer.
