The Pacific Northwest is a wonderful place!  I call it home too.    I know there have been formal meetups here.  Search about for them. 

Hi Amdrea, I organized a couple of susans meetups here in Portland in the fall before I entered my busy season at work. It was nice getting to know better some of the wonderful nw folks who are on susans. If you organize something it helps if its free or very cheap, and has good transit access.-Maddie

Please don't exclude those of us in the Seattle area. We don't mind a small drive to meet friends. 

I have always wanted to move to the Pacific Northwest and I do plan to do so someday! I love evergreen treees, I lovelovelove the rain, and the whole place just looks so fantastically magical! I'm also something of a self-style environmentalist but I am prob pretty conservative on these matters considering I come from the Northeast. I'd love to live in eaither Portland or seattle and of course it is also close to san fran which is another place I love and my second fave football team are the niners. Hopefully Seattle will get their BB ball team back I used to also love the Super Sonics.

I think Felix is in the Portland area too.

Hi! I'm new here, and I am in Idaho, near to Ontario. By the way, the Veteran's Administration in Boise is helping me in terms of hormones and counseling services. The Disabled American Veterans usually run a volunteer-staffed Van Service to transport disadvantaged Vets to and from their appointments. Here in Boise we also have a (brand new!) LGBT Support Group once a week. I can't travel too far but I'd like to correspond with whoever is interested. Im 57, and on my second go-round with hormones and Andy blockers. I am set and determined to get thru this time and complete SRS in about two years (sorry grrls, but the VA is not... YET doing the SRS surgeries). Gotta save my pennies!! Thank Gawd fer soda cans, right???

There are bunches of us TG folks in Orygun and even the North Coast region has a PFLAG group and an associated Trans support group.  We have previously met in Astoria and Rainier.  Portland, with the bumper sticker advice to "Keep Portland Weird!" has numbers of LGBTQ events and organizations that support we trans people.  And then there is the new State Law regarding trans medical care requirements for insurance providers here.  We have the first open and out Trans Mayor--Stu Rasmussen and I am an open and out public official myself.  You are welcome to PM me and I am happy to share what I know about ecotopia, wetlandia, or the great NW rainforest network of progressives in action.

I too would be interested in meeting others in the area,  especially transitioning mtf ts,  just because we have a lot in common.

I have just begun going out in public as myself for a couple months now. At this point I am essentially fulltime everywhere but work, and I'm working with HR to develop HR guidelines for coming out on the job. about five months on E.

Don't forget we've got Portland Pride next week. I will be marching in the parade for the first time this year. Pride is a lot of fun in the Rose City.

So fun to hear about all of you good people in our neighborhood!  I too plan to be attending and likely marching in Portland's Gay Pride parade and events.  I imagine that BRO, Q center, TransActive and NW Gender Alliance will have marching contingents and booths at the waterfront.............  I'll be that somewhat passable and too tall Tessa in the mix;-)
