How do you know which silicone would be safe to use on skin? As thinking of trying to make my own stp.

from my understanding, there's different grades of silicone. Food grade, medical grade, and prosthetic grade are all safe for skin contact.

Which one you went for would depend on what sort of STP you're planning on making it I suppose.  One that you're going to carry mostly in a pocket doesn't have to be such a high standard as one that you're going to wear in your pants the whole time.

If you wear on your skin, the best thing is food or medical grade silicone, esp if you wear all day. Other silicones might be ok for temporary use (i.e. a few hours). There is also a Class VI which is better than food grade but not so good as medical grade. Good silicone is very expensive which is why silicone toys and packers are more expensive.
