Not sure if this should go in a writing based forum, but wanted to post it here as it was an attempt at giving voice to some of my thoughts and feelings on contemplating my gender identity.



I walk with balanced feet,
Two worlds between their span,
The sky where sun and moon both meet;
True child of yin and yang.

I watch their distant stares,
Across divided land,
A trick of light I cannot share;
This line drawn in the sand.

I am not Trans-masculine, I am not Trans-feminine.
I am not Bigender, Neutrois or Genderqueer.
I am neither Cisgender nor Transgender.
I am of the 'gender' which existed before the creation of the binary genders.

Beautiful poem and fits 'androgyne' very well.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

This is a very moving piece, especially the sun/moon and yin/yang symbolism.
With a laptop, my mounds of books, and history handouts, I could rule the world! Or, just think about my self-identity and help the world through being kind and teaching.

I like the second stanza - line drawn in the sand indeed. One of these days that ocean is going to come and rub it out and we'll all have a swim together.
