I don't post here too often, but when I do I generally don't get too many responses. I will say I tend to pass about 85% of the time in public since starting T almost a year ago. Here is a fairly recent pic of me:



Do I pass? I just want some opinions on what I can do to go from 85% of the time to 100%. I know, some of it is mannerisms and I'm working on those and that's helped a lot. What say you?

Darrin you pass to me, especially with the facial hair going on. Maybe a frontal or whole body shot would show something more that I am not seeing now that would make you not pass, but seems fine to me.

Shaved yesterday (everything except a bit of sideburns and my chin) and was misgendered at the grocery store. (I'm one month on T) An idiot in the soda aisle looked at his friend and said "that's a dyke". I did what I'm great at and ignored them. Just acted like I didn't hear them but I will admit, it stung a bit. Thanks to them I probably won't shave for 6 months now, lol. Pass or not when shaved? Also, how old do you think I am?

I think you pass for mid to late twenties, Simon.

However, I also don't think you look clean shaven in this picture. Did you post the right one?

Yep, it's the right one. Upper lip is just stubble. I shaved yesterday (now it's the day before yesterday). It grows in quick.

I'd say that you definitely pass.If I really look, I can see a few female traits, but you definitely look like a guy. And I'd say you look mid-late twenties.

So I'm pre-everything. Not really passing, but trying desperately to head in that direction.

My hair. It's short, but is it too girly? I was going to get it cut next week. Any thoughts on how I could make it a little more masculine?

Any tips on getting more of a male look in general of course appreciated.

You look like a guy to me. If I had to nitpick, I would say that your eyebrows aren't as bushy as I would expect on a guy, but the hair looks cool.

I've never seen a guy with a nose piercing so that throws me off a bit. As the others said they eyebrows could do with bushing put a bit, but if that's how they are without plucking there's not much you can do.

Not pushing your hair back (at least at the sides) would look more masculine to me, but that might not be universal.

Ford, just grow your eyebrows out and change your stud to a hoop. Don't see many guys with a stud. (Plus the hoop is hot)

Yeah, I knew the nose stud would come up, haha! I went through a piercing phase after I got out of the military (too much  new-found freedom). A hoop though, I might have to give that a go.

And eyebrows...I pluck them! I'm guilty! Really for no other reason than (weirdo alert) I like plucking them, it's sort of a therapeutic process to yank those little suckers out. Based off your advice though I'm definitely going to let them go. Maybe not to my natural feral unibrow level though, lol (I'm a hairy Italian what can I say).
