The interview of 11 year old Jazz by Barbara Walters was shown tonight on the ABC News 20/20 program.  The last interview of her was when she was 7.  That interview has over 1 million hits on YouTube.  Jazz is on hormone blockers now and will start HRT soon.
  Interview here: http://abcnews.go.com/2020
This interview may be available for a few weeks here.  This was supposed to be aired a month ago but was pre-empted by the school shooting.

What a fantastic interview and video! I was trying not to cry at the end. I wish I had half the courage and willpower of that little girl.
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Jazz is one of my heroines.  She is so strong.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Me too Janet.

Just managed to watch both parts before it decided I live in the wrong country.
