I have heard that you drop weight initially after SRS and lose a lot of water weight. Is this true from anyone's experiences and if so, how much was lost!? Thanks

I lost some weight after surgery as well. I attribute it to a very low caloric intake immediately after surgery, and not any other factor. I managed to put it back on about 6 months later.

Same.  I dropped a few kilos.  Never weighed myself though.  There was no eating for a few days, and then very little.  Then when I could eat I didn't really feel like it.

Hi In answer to your Question, I had my Surgery with Dr Chettawut, For three days after Surgery you are basically on a Liquid Diet & then day 4 you will get A small amount Say Chicken with soup You may  not know but Protein that you Eat comes out of your system as wee From day 5 It Is best to stay on a relatively High protein Diet & then you will not need to Poo, I personally could not face a shower until Day Eight so I washed myself as thoroughly as I could at a sink from there onwards I gradually everyday ventured more & more Into the Shower. You will eventually Poo But you must not strain or push use a laxative to help I hope this is not to Graphic.

Best Regards

i was eating pad thai on day 0 of the surgery.  now, to be fair, that was probably a lot way too early, but at brassard they encouraged us to eat early on.  they just load you full of stool softeners and it's gross and everything is bad, but it gets a lot easier after the first month, because then you can actually strain.

i showered starting on day 4, i think?  and that was two times a day.  it was the best feeling of my life.

anyway, yeah, you get swollen as hell right after surgery.  in the weeks following there was so much interstitial fluid there that i went from a size 4 to a size 9 in the hip.  i had to buy a few pairs of pants to wear for about a month.  if skirts/dresses are your thing, go for that.
