One of my concerns when/if I'm able to go on T is the thinning of the lining of the front hole. Can it be reversed if one stops taking T or in any other way?

This is such a concern for me since backdoor play is extremely painful at worst and uncomfortable and awkward feeling at best. For this reason I've considered dropping weight, doing cardio to reduce my chest size and hopefully get rid of some of the padding around my hips and thighs, and then going on T long enough to get desired effects such as lower pitched voice and facial hair.

Probably not my place to comment, but if you are middle aged and are referring to vaginal dryness, please say so because I have some answers. We're all family, don't be shy! ((Hugs))

You're fine. I won't be hitting the middle age mark for a good 18 years or so. I'm talking about actual thinning of the vaginal walls, not just dryness. I've read T will thin them out and some people have said even with using a personal lubricant it can still easily cause tearing and bleeding.

I've heard (and I know this might seem pretty flippin weird) if you get an estrogen cream that is used...sorta...internally down yonder, it helps.

My spouse and I are still sexually active, she's 65 and I'm 69 so this has been a concern for awhile. I think that problem has a lot of bearing on why couples give up on intimacy and miss out on some wonderful moments. Dryness and thinning are a part of the territory when aging as well as when we go on meds that modify our lower-end equipment. There are vaginal suppositories and other lubricants with applicators specifically intended to deal with that problem that last for three days between applications. When a physically a natal female goes on T the natural lubricants that are a part of nature's normal vaginal flushing just dry up and go away, it's forcing the onset of menopausal symptoms. Same for a genetic male on E, the skin on the dangling modifier thins and intimacy in the old way can become uncomfortable and copious amounts of lubricant is necessary, kind of a pain-in-the-ass! Other than this, I don't have any other information. Best wishes!

I would assume that if you stopped T and still had functional ovaries intact and hadn't reached menopause that you would thicken back up there eventually. Though I'm a genetic male I experienced genital atrophy and tender skin after having been on E for a number of years. I had a brain fart and de-transitioned for two years and had T pellet injections since I had been altered and the family jewels were gone, but once back on T all the male attributes came back along with libido and some of the atrophy went away. The skin on the little boy thingy toughened back up. Really, there's not a load of differences between us and how your body will respond.

This maybe TMI, but I know the dr told my mother that after menopause more sexual acitivity in the vagina will help keep the normal lubricanting fluid going longer.

Sounds like something a male MD would say. Sex is absolutely painful for a post menopausal woman because of dryness and thinning of the vaginal wall tissues. The vagina has to be lubricated by an external source before any sexual activity.

Someone who used to be active here (Sevan, if you've been around long enough to remember hir) posted about being on T and using an estrogen cream. I'm looking for hir posts about it now; will post links if I ever find them. If not, at least know that estrogen cream is definitely a thing people use.

I realize that and I asked FullThrottle for permission to enter the discussion, if you read my posts you can clearly see that I have some experience with the issue both personnel and with that of my cis spouse.

I am also aware of using estrogen cream there, but if you're FtM on T that is a bit offsetting to what you are trying to achieve as it is quickly absorbed.

Please bear with me, I'm not ignorant about this as I have been married for almost 44 years and went through her painful periods, child birth, menopause, and life after that with her, we are very close and share everything, there are no secrets between us.

I think mm was just saying that the doctor who suggested that keeping up sexual activity helps maintain the production of natural lube was female.  I can see how his statement could either be interpreted either way, but it makes more sense to me that he would be saying that the doctor was female as it wouldn't be a female interest seeing as the OP is male.

I don't think anyone has a problem with the girls, or anyone else, chiming in on our questions if they have something constructive to add.

You could try olive oil or Vit E capsules (topically).
