How long do you like your hair to be? How was your hair when you were younger? Did you like it or not?

I seem to be in a minority with trans guys but I hate short hair. It's not for me. I feel really gross with short hair. When I was fourteen I got my hair cut for the first time, into a pixie cut. I thought it was pretty sweet and honestly I'd probably have short hair if my hair was naturally straight. Alas my hair is curly.

Most men I know have fades and buzzcuts, super short hairstyles like that. I wouldn't cut my hair that short until I start balding; when I get into the later stages of balding I'll probably either get a small afro or just cut everything off. I have a rather large afro right now but I'm still growing it out. I aim to have dreads or braids past my shoulders.

I prefer really long hair, but I don't pass with it and won't until I'm on T for a good while.  My hair has always been medium-length though over the last few years I've kept it relatively short as I chopped it all off and then had to let it grow out.  I recently got it cut again, but it's still not short.  I'll prop cut it all off again once I start T or prior to it so I can pass, or have a better chance at it, then I'll let it grow out as soon as I look better.

I grew up in a strict religious home. I was made to have long hair until I was in my teens (then I'd just get it cut and deal with my parent's anger for a few days).

I keep my hair short. In the Summer I usually buzz it and wear hats. Other times of the year I let it grow out a little and get an Ivy League cut.

I have to keep it pretty short, for work and to pass (I look butch if I don't keep it short enough), but I really wish I could have hair like Mr. Gold (from Once Upon a Time). I would LOVE that hairstyle. I long for it, hahaha. Someday, after years of T, I'm sure I'll be able to pull it off. And it's an older man's look anyway :P
What the hell was that?!                 From every wound there is a scar,

I had hair down my back when I was little that progressively got shorter until I was 13 when I asked for it to just be chopped off. I don't miss it at all. Now I like having it the length in my photo, but struggle to find anyone that will do it because they all know me as "female". I have to gave the back of my hair really short and faded because it becomes a trigger for my sexual assault. Even when I was going through a bit of an emo phase I was still keeping the back short with scissors between cuts.

This is actually my favorite length on myself right here--

But since I still present female in certain places like work, I have to keep it a bit longer than I'd like.  When I was little I always had really long hair until high school when I cut it to my chin for JROTC (I like the comb and go thing and the thought of having to put it up and pin it into a bun and make it all perfect was too much for me, so I chopped it to the exact length I needed to just leave it alone).  Then I grew it down to my butt in college until I chopped it all off and shaved it bald a few years ago and since then I generally get a longer caesar (about the length of my profile pic) every few months and let it grow into a shaggy mop in between.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.

I can go either way. My hair's odd, so I don't like messing with it.

I perfer shorter hair because it's easier to manage. With really long hair, taking a shower was basically just work, and brushing and blow-drying it was a nightmare.

I had long hair my entire life, but wanted to get it cut for a while until I finally got it done a couple years ago.

It helps with being read as male and being more comfortable in general.

I reaaaally like my hair longer & shaggy, but it's a lot to maintain for me and goes through some rather ugly phases before it gets to the length I like it at. I just think long hair is so attractive when a man can pull it off *drool* Not everyone can though, just imo.

Anyways, I also like it buzzed on the sides and long on the top, which is how I almost always do it now. I cut my own hair.

When I was little I had very long hair and hated it, so I would put it in a pony tail and tuck it in my shirt and wear a hat backwards to cover it :p.

I prefer long hair. I just think it looks better imo. I like the length of how Ashton Kutcher had it on "That's 70's show". That's how I've always worn my hair Pre- T. I'm growing it out now to this length again hoping this time nobody calls me a girl.

When I was a kid Mom never let me have as short hair as I would've wanted. Because I would've looked like a boy. I never said to her it was kinda my intention. Besides, I hated my hair since it's naturally wavy and very thick (well, I still kinda hate it). It's a pain after a shower to get it somewhat reasonable looking if it's long.
My hair's been to my shoulders at its longest and honestly, it looked like a hair stack.

I've been keeping my hair pretty short for the last couple years, usually making my fiancé shave it off almost completely when it gets too long for my taste. The only downside about me having a shaved head is my ridiculously long neck hair...
But I'm thinking to let my hair grow a bit. I want a so-called "gay ramp" in the front. :D

Longest: Down to my lower back.
Shortest: Buzzed with a pair of clippers, no guards.

I love it very short. Lately, I've been growing it out to see if I can pull off a 1960s look. If not, I'll just go back to virtually no hair.

This is the type of hair I wish I could pull off as well. My only problem is it gets real thick and shaggy in the back.

I like both long and short hair and have both. But I tend to prefern longer hair for the case of passing, so I am rather scared of getting it too short.

when I where younger I where suposed to have middle long "girly hair" I grew it out in a pony tail cause I said I always wanted a real tail but I couldnt get it so I got this insteed untill I where 12-13 and I got my first short haircut.

I kinda got this haircut when I where a kid, most of my time. nope this is not me BTW but it do actually look abit like me when I where younger. (I think)

I had long hair since I was 12 til I was 29 I think. It never grew all that much past my shoulders mind you. My hair then started thinning so I cut it shoulderlenght, and then kept getting it shorter until I came out and got a short men's cut, shaved in the back and sides, short on top. Been keeping it that way since, it's too thin on top to get creative with.

Went and got me a ticker, so everytime I post I'm reminded to put down whatever I was about to eat. >.>

My parents kept my hair cut above the ears until I was 13ish. I cut it once since then about 2 years ago. I cut a foot off. It is growing back but so much slower than it used to. I much prefer it long and as it is thinning quickly, I'll keep it long for as long as I have  hair to grow.

Nowadays if it's long enough to get mussed, then it's too long.
This is my philosophy, or would be if I were a little less lazy about haircuts. I trim it when it gets in my eyes and occasionally do a more major cut or get a friend to. I've paid for haircuts a couple of times but both times I still looked like a girl. I should probably go try that again now that I can pass better.

I'm partial to mohawks but my ears are always cold and so I don't take my hat off except when I need to be respectful or presentable anyway.

I would love to have long hair. Not super long but enough for a fringe to cover my eyes sort of length. I think ponytails can look very sexy on blokes too but I'm not sure I would go that far. I had hair right down my back for the longest time and it was so liberating to cut it short for the first time (like, girl short) ... I don't think I could ever go back to the huge pain in the behind of washing/conditioning/blowdrying/straightening every morning.

I sport a short back and sides because it's the only way I pass at the moment. I attempted to grow it out to see if I could get away with it but the general consensus over on the do I pass board was that it was doing me no favours, and I agreed  :P

I always had fairly long hair before I came out, but ever since, I've kept it very short. I usually do it myself, with clippers, but every once in a while I really butcher it and need someone to fix it for me. I like long hair on guys - certain guys, of course, not everyone can pull it off - but I don't think I'd pass if I were to have long hair.
