Hi,

So I've always had a smaller build but I have always been tall as well. Just over three months ago I was at about 6'1 and weighed at 145 and as of this morning my doctor said I was 6'0 and 134 pounds. I know I've heard people lose weight because of hrt but I didn't really have any muscle to lose, should I be worried about this? I eat regularly and try to stay active as well so I'm really confused as to why I lost so much weight when really I could use some weight. I was thinking it could be possible I have a gluten allergy or something that is affecting my weight? Any thoughts? I appreciate it!

In contrast, I am 6ft and at 145 I still had a big flabby belly and thighs the jiggle long after I stop moving. Oh, I am also somewhat big boned to. Even if I could get down to 135 I strongly suspect I'll still have a gut and flabby thighs. Not that that could ever happen with me ballooning back up to 160 and can gain weight just smelling food.

Weight, like most things body wise is a case of YMMV. Some people can be stick figures with those stats, others jiggling balls of jello  :(

Crazy, I would of never thought because even when I weighed more I was still super skinny, I think I just had a tiny bit of muscle before and now I don't.

I am 5'7" and 115 pounds. I was 105 pounds before HRT and had no muscle mass at all. . even though I am still slightly under weight, My doctor thinks its not a big deal.

Emma, you're within the lower limits of healthy weight according to BMI.
But, so long as blood tests are ok, blood pressure is normal, I wouldn't worry.

The other indicator for general health ratio hip:waist ratio - I wouldn't have any idea on how to work it out for people on HRT!  ;D
