Hi everyone. My name is Sam (well, not my birth name, but we'll forget about that). I'm 20 years old, and I identify as genderqueer. I'm out to a few friends and most of them are accepting. I tried coming out to my family, but they didn't take it too well and they've kind of ignored it ever since. I prefer neutral pronouns (they, their, them), but I'm not too fussy if someone accidentally messes up.

I've never been very public about this part of me...I get really nervous since a lot of the times when I try to talk about it, I don't get taken seriously. But it seems like the community here is very accepting and I'm excited to maybe meet some nice people.

Aaaanyways, yeah. If anyone has any questions about me or anything, please let me know. 🙂

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Thank you for taking the time to share a very important part of yourself with us. That's a very important step you've taken already. Read whatever takes your fancy and don't hesitate to ask any question at all. Regardless of how silly it may sound. In time you'll get an understanding of who you really are, where you're going and perhaps a way of getting there.

If you want to speed the process, have a chat with a gender therapist and you'll be amazed at what you find.
