This is just a theory that iv'e been wondering.
Say a boy who was just entering puberty at 12 for example was pumped full of an equal amount of Estrogen. Therefore his E and T levels were the same, what would happen?

Technically he'd probably OD and die. Estrogen is measured in pg/ml which is 1/1000 of ng/ml, which is what T is measured in.

So... typically a male has, let's say, 500 ng/ml of T in the blood in the blood. 500 ng/ml would equate to 500,000 pg/ml of estrogen. The normal amount for a cis male is under 50 pg/ml, and the normal amount for a female is (depending on the time of month) no higher than 450 pg/ml .... So I'm sure liver failure would happen happen and death would occur.

Estrogen is MUCH more potent than T.

So, let's adapt the original proposal...given a 12yo AMAB, if "they" (the researchers) gave adequate E, T, and/or suppressors for E and/or T in order to create an equal influence of both hormones....

What might happen? I think we'd have one VERY confused AMAB 12yo...at the least.

I'd say the T would counteract the E for the most part but probably end up a little androgynous. Theres a reason we use anti androgens after all.

I couldn't imagine how that would affect the mind though. Probably be a real mess emotionally.

Weren't we all messed up enough at 12 yo, lol   I know I sure was! Confusion, un-answerable questions about "what am I" quite surprised I even made it thru those years, yikes!
