So, I have my first endo appointment at the beginning of March, which means I need to be able to explain what the problem is and what my goals are.  And that's something I have to prepare in advance, otherwise all I'll be able to come up with in the appointment is something vague along the lines of "Uh, E makes me feel like crap.  I need E blockers, I guess."  I suspect the endo's going to want something more helpful than that.

I know what I want: I want my E to get down to a comfortable level, and if it's at all possible to get hysto on the national health then I want one of those too, because I know I have a semi-functional uterus and I want it out*.  What I don't know is how to explain exactly how E makes me feel like crap.

Does anyone have any tips for how to explain the physical discomfort in a way that actually makes sense?  And does anyone have any tips for how I can talk about dysphoria without my brain doing the blue screen of death (coz then I freeze up and can't really talk coherently)?

*and believe me, it WILL come out sometime, but right now I can't afford it if the national health won't cover it.

do they know you are trans? just tell the truth and try not to make it to wordy. also i suggest looking into lupron it essentially stops all sex hormone production by overstimulating the pituitary gland. the only problem is that if you pay out of pocket it is very very expensive.

Thanks comrade!  They know I'm trans.  You need a very good reason to see an endocrinologist on the national health, and being trans qualifies.  I guess really I'm more worried about being able to find the right words.

Is there some reason you'd be on E blockers? FOr instance are you maybe under 16? I don't think it is typical to be on them. If you are younger, then they are wonderful (though $$$$) as they prevent you from going into (or stop) you from going into the wrong sex adolescence.
