This is pretty self-explanatory. List five things you enjoy about being and transsexual

5 - Pampering myself by doing my nails while watching movies on Sunday afternoons
4 - Running into old acquaintances and breaking the ice
3 - Get to meet celebrities and other well-known people
2 - I am no longer asked why I have my ears pierced
1 - Educating the public on what it is really like to be transsexual

You've got to ask a transsexual.  I'm a woman. ;)

I enjoy telling people who knew me pre transition and kinda freaking people out. But that's me.

Being male has its advantages.

We can understand both sexes.

I WISH! I never understood men, but I kind of wish I did.

I don't have anything quirky or inspirational to say, but I like the trans community. If it weren't for a lot of other trans people out there I don't know that I would've known where to go with the way I was feeling about myself.

Oh, the one thing I did love was shaving my hair off and not getting strange looks for doing it.

*giggling devilishly* I hadn't seen this thread before.  Oh, I wish we had the reputation system installed.  I'd certainly give someone a cookie for their answer.  ;D ;)  :eusa_clap:

Nope nope nope, I'm a dude. Not a transsexual. Sorry. But I do very much enjoy being a guy.

1. Being called as the non birth-sex stops being frustrating (like it was during denial) and instead becomes fun?

All I can think of as a plus, really.

1) having a really flexible voice, my range these days is insane.
2) being able to make up a phoney male persona in the background when i'm on the phone, this can be used for ->-bleeped-<-s and giggles
3) being ridiculously tall I'm 6'1 and love it
4) wide shoulders, they're hot, I had narrow shoulders for a guy but now they're just right.
5) Honestly I'm really starting to like how I look there's a mantra in thailand that ladyboys are prettier and tbh i think that applies to anyone who transitions early (or is keira :P), my sister's prettier but I can look far more stunning/striking than she can. The right mix of T and E effects can really make you look amazing.

Hey, some of us late comers look not too shabby too, though I'm "only" 6 foot ;-).
I often wish I was less striking so I'd blend in more; but hey, what can we do  ;D

I've cornered the striking cheekbone and piercing laser eyes market (tm). I'd be perfect for a the "femme fatale" role in 40's noir movie; I want to lead men to perdition, to their demise   >:D

An acquaintance who works in modeling, suggested I try doing over 40 modeling, it used to be a low pay ghetto, but now the pay is getting pretty good (with the population of women getting older). Obviously, I'm too old to compete with 14 year old models :-).

That would be funny since I did some catalogue modeling, as a man, in my early 20's!!! I was really ripped back then.

In general, I do think that if you are an attractive male in a pretty boy way (Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom for example), you'll make a very attractive women. Those three without a beard can already pass as women (hehe) even before HRT.

OK, So, for me (there are others, but these are some of things at the top of my mind now).

1) Being introduced to people I've know from the past, but don't seem to recognize me, by female friends who know I'm TS and seeing the other side of their personality seing them hit on me (I'd tell them who I am, but I'm afraid that would crush their little egos).
2) Becoming the local expert about men with my GG friends who just think I'm incredibly insightfull when I've got insider knowledge.
3) Knowing and laughing at the stupid tricks men do to pick up women (haha, so funny).
4) Spiking the hell out of a volleyball ball into the face of a terrified and baffled opponent.

And my favorite,

- Going by at 30+ miles per hour on my racing bike past a car and then seeing him speed up to catch me, then upping my speed 5mph more and seeing that person shake their heads in disbelief.

- Having a young 20 year old turk speed past me on their wallmart bike when I'm taking it easy, then me going past them just faster than their speed, then I let them pass again, then I go past him at a higher speed and so fort until he cracks. I then, wait up for him at the next light where I've talking my helmet off and I am doing something girly with my hair so their humiliation is more complete (hehe); when the light turns, I speed out of there like a bullet leaving them oh so baffled and flustered.

The longest I toyed with a guy like that was 6 miles, you should have seen his face at the end... Beat up real bad my a girly girl, oh the horror.  ;D

I have a bigger wardrobe to go through before I have to do laundry.  ;)

I can mess with catholics, always fun.  >:D

I get to meet and make more of a variety of friends.  ;D

You are a bad girl Keria,

I am sure I would enjoy riding with you once I get some more form back on my bike. I know plenty of females who can kick my butt on the bike.  Back when I was fit and well I would also check to ensure I beat the 1st female home in a race. It was my benchmark to see who well I had raced.

Now I am I am TG my best times on my bike have passed for now. Watch out- I am getting better and may ride with advengence soon.

The pierced ears thing is kind of funny. i never had anyone ask me why. However, before I went FT a coworker saw me get mine done and he thought that he would get his redone (had let them close up). he was talking to me afterwards and said that he had missed having the stud in there and how glad he was that I went ahead and had mine done. Etc, etc. I can only imagine what he thought when I went FT later on. Afterwards, I never noticed an earring in his ear at all.  ;D

my ears are still virgin and I plan to keep them that way, never have been a big fan of jewellery

Earrings and mascara are about as necessary as bra and underwear for me to go out of the house at all. lol

For me, earings, aren't jewelry, they are partners in seducing the world

Earings I have SOOOOO many, 3-4 expensive ones, 20 mid range and at least 40 $5-$10 ones. Piercing both ears is the first thing I did. I can't stop myself from buying more!!

As for mascara, wear it 80% of the time, but I wouldn't die if I don't have it.
Eyeliner, about 95%, when I don't have it on its because I was such a hurry that I couldn't put any makeup on. Blush, about 20% percent of the time.
Lipstick about 75% of the time unless I know I'll be eating soon or in a continuous manner, then I put some on to go to the place and don't bother reapplying if the food smears it off. Eyeshadow, about 50% of the time.

Light foundation (barely there, you skin peeks through), special occasion, marriages for example, 5% of the time.
Medium to Heavy foundation (what most people use as foundation), never.

Yes, I am one of those "girly girls" your mother warned you about

Only one huge thing I can think of and that's being "me", and being free to express myself in ways that seems so natural to me, interacting with people (both guys and girls) in the only gender I have ever felt happy with .... a whole renewed confidence in myself ....
