This was so awesome. I have come out to the person who cuts my hair. She's very neat and got it right away. Anyway, I got a fade.

She used the word "sir". I told her I was changing my legal name but not til after school was out but that I used the name Jay at the trans center. So she starts calling me Jay. Even changed my name on the computer. It just felt so affirming!

That's awesome! I had a similar experience with a dental hygienist once, she got them to change everything in the system, even my gender. And she said "I just want you to be happy and feel good about who you are in the world. That's all I want for me, it's all I want for my son, and it's all I want for you." just goes to show you, people aren't all bad, a lot are really cool and just take people as they are. They're the best.

Thanks for the awesome response guys. And I had yet another one today.
I go to this coffee place and always get ice tea. This guy said "thanks man". I have known him for about a year so I think he has figured out I'm trans as I was presenting female (though perhaps rather tomboy) before. It's was wonderful to hear this outside the trans center. So I think I had an amazing weekend, and I didn't do that much.
