According to my dr - going on t does not make you sterile necessairly - there are many transmen who get pregnant years after starting t.  I have been on t for over a year and I am still producing eggs.  However, she did say if you stop t - that your body will revert back to your female hormones and will start producing eggs again

If you have a male relative then perhaps you could use their sperm to impregnate a partner?  That way, your genes will still be in there.

I'm not really sure how the genetics would work so that's a good question. Personally, I would be a little uncomfortable with having a male family member's sperm impregnate my partner but that's just me. I'm just generally uncomfortable with the idea of having anyone other than myself donate sperm. It all depends on personal preference though.

I also read that a few scientists are trying to get past some ethics barriers and once they do, they'll be able to try the stem cell experiment on human participants. It's going to be interesting to see what happens and it's nice to know that there are options out there.

Egg freezing isn't like sperm freezing. It's thousands of dollars and relies on in vitro fertilization which isn't a sure thing by any stretch (also thousands of dollars). If you are straight, your wife could have a baby via sperm donor. I am pretty sure that you would love that child and be father to that child just as if it were your biological child.

I know all the stuff about how you'd think it might be different but I think you really would.
