Well I'm trying to locate a dr again, even though I have been self medicating for some time.  :-\
I use to see a dr, but I called the office to make an appt and they told me he isnt taking any new patients and since its been so long i'd be considered new so I'm in a pickle at this point :-\
I'm in oklahoma, and was seeing jonathan davis in okc, but now I just dont know who I would need to see ???

I am currently taking
progesterone/estradiol which I seem to remember as being close to what I was on, and while I have no issues getting the medication I feel that maybe I should be seeing a dr for this also I now have insurance so that will take care of the expense for the most part.
I just dont know so I guess my question is this; Is anyone else from ok and knows of a good dr?  ???

We have several members from that area.  I'll see who I can find.

Keep in mind that any licensed medical doctor can prescribe HRT meds and the appropriate blood tests.  It does not necessarily have to be an endocrinologist.  Does Oklahoma City have any GLBTQ organizations.  They might be able to recommend a friendly doctor.

hmm I thought it had to be a endo ???I have toyed around with telling my pcp dr that I am tg, but I have yet to do so on the paranoia of him not helping, and on the fact I enjoy a somewhat normal life and dr appt's for what it is. Perhaps I should just suck it up and be like well......

yea Idk I have llook at the glbtq grouts but nothing, searched yahoo, google and bing and nada, I seem tto remember there were more but I just dont know where to look.

I talked to my dr... and he was a lil shocked, but hes still my dr. However he wasnt sure what to do, I asked for a referal to and endo and he said he would do this, I also asked him for a script and he said he would if its what the endo says needs to be done. soo :-\   I guess I'm waiting now for the endo to call to make an appt in the mean time anyone have any other suggestions?

The utility of an endocrinologist is if you have complications, such as in the liver.  My first prescribing physician was a GLBTQ-friendly general practitioner.

I had another idea.  Why not call Dr. Davis's office and ask to who he is referring new trans patients?

I found these in a search:

The Twofold Group - We are central Oklahoma's only transgender support group. Email : info@twofoldgroup.org

Renaissance Oklahoma - Oklahoma City: COTA, PO Box 60354, Oklahoma City, OK 73146.
