Hi ladies, New to the site and this is my first post... Michelle here, transwoman living in Nashville.  Been tg a long time.. On hormones for going on 4th year..Married with grown kids and several grandbabies who all live in Wisc. been in TN since last summer. I am an RN working at a hospital here in nashville.Love music, riding our harley and boating.. into wooden toy making and crafting, gardening, and playing with our 2 dogs. Looking to make girlfriends on this site, networking with others in the trans-community.  I am kinda out, go out shopping in skirts sometimes, not as often as I would like. SO is supportive to a point but have some issues we are trying to deal with like the mones/lesbianism/sex thing etc..I will try to get up to speed on other's posts and participate in class discussions.

Welcome to the site, Michelle.

Browse around and enjoy the family feeling here. There are site rules, too, so have a look at those when you get a chance.

Looking forward to your input,

Dennis

Thank you Dennis.  I've been reading some of the forums/rules/posts and am real glad I found the site. I can relate to what the other gals are going through.  Started cross-dressing early but didn't really understand why until after getting into threapy prior to going on hormones.  I wish I had found the strength to go earlier in life, it would have made things much easier than trying to bend into male conformity. I feel so much more "right" now that I am on the hormones.  I don't know if my current marriage will make it to retirement, the other 3 didn't but my SO is somewhat supportive.  Right now we're dealing with me being on estrogens and her not being a lesbian, and those issues.  Meanwhile I am still trying to get my head around the everyday stuff like makeup, hairstyling and the other stuff GG's take for granted. I want to transition to female presentation at work but that might get a bit complicated, although I am a nurse and the healthcare business is a bit more tolerant of tg women. Got a MD app't tuesday and want to get my meds renewed, don't know if I should ask for an increase or stay with what i am taking now, got a bit of development but going really slow. having issues with the weight gain, if anyone else might be wanting to consult on the dieting thing or if anyone has ideas on this matter give me a holler...

Hi Michelle,

Welcome to Susan's. Nice to see a new face here. Sounds like you have a deal of experience that if your willing to share others will find helpful. Having said that I think you will also find a lot of information here especially in the WIKI.

I didn't know there were so many transgals from Tennessee.  I chatted yesterday with Emerald, and read Susan's page, Jennifer, and of course, me here in music city...I kept thinking of this group all last night at work and couldn't wait to get back online....From what posts I have been reading it seems like there was alot of hurtful things done to most of us on our way to "here" and a lot of healing, To the new girls, Lexxi, et al..I hope y'all learn from our experience and don't be afraid to ask questions, afterall we're all in the same sisterhood here CD, TG, Trans.. GG,   I have a few of my own things I've been thinking on and might start a couple threads soon as I get the seams on the stockings straight....

On my computer the picture looks a bit fuzzy. Teri-Gene just had the same problem. From my perspective your looking like Edgar Winter. Not that that is a bad thing he was always rather feminine looking anyway, but fuzzy pictures are hard to comment on.
