I've learned a few tricks over the years on making high heels more comfortable. I am guessing you girls already know, but just in case someone is new to heels I'll write it down.
Always get high heel inserts. I like the "ball of feet" cushions, and there's also other stick on ones for the straps. I also like the stick-on padding that goes on the back of the heel (for non-strap heels), it cuts down on the shoe digging into your ankle, and it also makes shoes that have stretched out a little fit better. Also, if there's options, don't get the gel inserts, because they get really gooey and nasty, get the foam ones.
If you are wearing heels that aren't the strap, sandle like style, get the sheer liners. They have some that goes over your entire foot (except for the top that will show), and they comes in a variety of colors to match your shoes just in case a bit of the liner shows. They also make toe liners for heels that only cover the toes. You can often get these in the sock or panty hose section of the store.
If you don't have liners, or you are wearing the sandle type of heels, putting a bit of baby powder on the shoe will help prevent your feet from sticking to the heel and causing blisters.
