Hello all!

I am very new at this, but am starting to plan out my transition and I just have a couple of questions! (I sincerely apologize if they have been answered in another post, but I didn't find it)

I am transitioning MTF and I find myself wanting a more feminine and curvy figure, I have looked into clincher and corset training, which both seem like a good idea regardless however! I also think HRT would be a great idea! Here is the problem:

I have heard and read that while on HRT sex drive is mostly gone and "getting it up" well just doesn't happen, I do still find myself attracted to the female sex, and have a girlfriend (of 2 years who is crazy supportive and has been helping me tons! and she plans to stay with me!) She doesn't like the idea of no sexual activity lol (nor do I but I will do what it takes)

OK so my question is! with HRT after it distributes things and I find myself becoming happy with the results, if i stop, will everything totally revert? or are there ways for me to still engage in sexual activity while on, of maintaining the effects of HRT?!

please help!

Well, you shouldn't worry too much about the HRT. It should just take away the unwanted drive and spontaneous stuff. You'll still be able to do everything when you want to do it, instead of the other way around with your body telling you it wants you to do stuff.

If you stop taking hormones, you'll start reverting back unless you have things removed. But some effects like breast growth are somewhat permanent after 6 months.

Well don't believe everything you read on teh interwebs... The best source is going to be your physician and also the long-timers here. Thanks!

apparently it depends :/ possibly more a mental thing than anything it would seem from reading other peoples experiences, some have been on it for 2 years and still have a functioning sex life, others say nothing works down there at all :p I guess I'll have to see!!  >:-) lol but thank you so much for your help and any other weigh ins and experiences would be helpful!!!

It varies from person to person, but as we all say the biggest sex organ is between the ears so as long as you and your GF are comfortable and happy you sex life should be fine.

Oh just out of interest, if you ever decide on surgery most SRS surgeons are very keen that the penis is kept active and healthy so that it can be used in the operation.

Hard to say, as results very. But that is not written in stone. 3 years on HRT and I still get and maintain erections. Not something that gets used much, but I still can. So, it depends on the person and their physiology. I do think that exercise (lots of cardio and being active) along with a healthy diet play a big part as well. And as Cindy said, if you are planning on SRS, it's good advice to keep the unit functional. ;) As for what happens if you suddenly stop HRT, again hard to say. Some things will revert back, but some effects may linger (like breast growth).
