Depends on several factors.
-Mass, i.e, resistance to drag.
-Muscular output potential.
-Body shape and whether or not it's aerodynamic.
-Whether you're talking about a European or African Swallow. 

But if you must know, the average for European Swallows is about 11 m/s.

Well Jamie, unless every Summer you make it a dedicated mission to only dance to the same song, then it's true. I guess. So basicly, that fortune cookie is cheap and obvious.

Technically, she asked that question poorly. There are multiple kinds of swallows, so 11 m/s doesn't always apply.
