I just had the thought that this ladder thing that I will hopefully be able to describe applies well to passing aswell.
The bottom stage: Unaware of you being unaware. - You're doing it wrong and you don't even know it.
The first step up: Aware of you being unaware. - You're aware that you're doing it wrong.
The next step: Aware of you being aware. - You're aware that you're doing it right.
Mastery: Unaware of you being aware. - You're doing it all right and you don't even know it.
I hope it made some sort of sence, I've only seen the ladder thing written in Swedish so it's very rouchly translated. I think it's used to determen levels of mastery, I first heard it described in details in a seminar about mastery of things. I know this applies to my own ability at some things in life, some competative games being some of them, I don't even think about doing the right things, reacting correctly to what happens, it comes naturally for me and in more then one competative game I've been top 5 in the world at it. I love to master things.
