How were your legs affected by HRT?

Were they stronger in some ways? Was there less strength loss  when compared to the rest of your body? (ftm's can answer too actually)

Just curious. I tried reading about it but then I realized that most cispeople know crap what they're talking about when it comes to hormones, so I'll just come here. Women's legs are strong, some people claim that they're stronger than men's on average, but that's probably just a bunch of wishful thinking.

I run a lot and I can say for a fact that my legs have gotten weaker in the short amount of time I've been on hormones. I can still run but it is more difficult.

I was shocked how fast I got noticeably weaker all over. I'm learning to adjust to my body that is quickly changing.

I can't answer on hormonal impacts, but I know that women's legs are stronger relative to lean body weight, not based on inherent strength measurements. That means that a woman can lift a greater multiple of her own lean body weight than a man. However, based on pure numbers, male legs are stronger, which is why every lower body exercise world record is held by a man...  ???

Upper body has gone by at least 25% if not more.

Legs are just about same as pre.

I can measure this as I do the same legs weights as prior to HRT but I can't get close to the upper body weights. In fact I have problems lifting weights onto machines for my leg exercises!

I'm also using treadmills and cycle for about the same time and intensity as pre HRT.

My leg hair doesn't grow as fast after 4.5 months but whenever I go to play basketball, my leg function has not changed noticeably at all. My arms however are clearly weaker and it's much harder to for me to play physical now.

I guess they look OK in panty hose since I've had women envy them. Probably all that walking (up hill, both ways) I do and bicycling I did. At almost 60 I can still walk at a good 5 MPH pace for a few hours. Even now in WV where it literally is up hill both ways along the road outside my house.

As far as hair growth, it's wierd. Mostly zero except for my knees! Them I can do every day. The rest of my leg needs nuttin for a month or more.

Early in puberty women tend to have a growth spurt mainly in their legs. Unless a transwoman manages to negotiate HRT that early, I'm imagining this probably explains the reports so far in this thread. Namely, expected development makes legs longer, relative to torso, thus, in most cases a higher proportion of muscle mass there, compared to the upper body?

My legs have always been my strong point, they are long, toned and muscular.

Aside from lighter and thinner hair I've gained some fat on them especially the thighs. Still Muscular just with a little more cushion I suppose.

I think I've lost strength all around, even though I'm on low dose.  Definitely lost a fair bit on my vertical leap - I think my days of jumping up and hanging off a basketball rim are long gone.  Muscle definition has definitely dropped a bit, my legs now have a smoother contour to them.

Not that much! over a decade on HRT and my legs at the bottom are still stick thin and very boney on the lower leg. My upper legs are fatter and some celulite.
