Joanna, I often felt the same way as you. I have really never had any "masculine" hobbies or interests. So, I too have felt out of place at times. I have no interest in cars, computers, machines, video games, most sports, etc. Many of my hobbies and interests would be looked upon as more feminine: cooking, sewing, quilting, reading, gardening, running. When I came out as transgender it did not come as a surprise to many in some part because of this. Regardless, I don't think your interests or hobbies determine whether one is transgender or not. I guess I believe hobbies are more learned and part of the social culture one grows up in, rather being transgender is more or less how our brains have been wired.
