A  teenager who was born male but identifies as female, has told how she became Homecoming Queen after keeping her transgender identity secret.

Devon, 19, who spoke publicly for the first time on a special edition of the Katie show, said that when she moved to a new high school her peers were unaware that she was biologically a boy.

The pretty brunette explained: 'It was like having a clean slate, I could reinvent myself... I won junior class homecoming princess and to me that was the best day of my life.'

Wow! Simply an amazing story. Hopefully she'll be able to get SRS soon.

That is pretty awesome. I have to admit I am slightly jealous of that chest. :D

It's really awesome that she was able to have a normal high school experience as a female. I wish I had been brave enough to transition that early as well. Super jealous, but still awesome story.
