This coming Sunday I have to go to a viewing of a life long friend of mine. This will be the first time that I will see many old friends since I told the world that I'm transgendered. And even though I still present male I know many have seen my photo along with the name Bethany, from me posting and liking photos of my friend. I pray that all their attention goes toward Duane and not me at the viewing.

I will keep you in my prayers Bethany. I hope everything goes well. I'm sorry about your friend.  :(

  I can see that you are scared.  My family knows of my TG thing plus I am still presenting as male.  I witnessed the life of my special niece ebb away with her dad and mother, my sister, plus another sister and her husband and a long standing friend of the family in attendance this past October.  I was also in on the funeral planning.  I also picked up two sisters from the airport.  Most of the extended family showed up plus 3 engines of on-duty firemen (My niece's dad recently retired from them).  Nobody had any problem with me being there.  Over 100 purple helium balloons were launched in my niece's memory after the services.  Her ashes were scattered around the tree where my mom's ashes were placed in the mountains.

Well my friends wake was today. The amount of people there is truly mind boggleing. It was nice to see his family, but damn I wish it was under different circumstances. I can't stop myself from crying.

I was a bit self conscience when getting hugged as I have to wear a bra now. It's also only the second time I wore one in public. And I thought I heard someone behind me at one time say something about me wearing a bra but didn't think the straps showed through my shirt..
Anyway I survived.

@Bethany,

Congratulations brave Sister! I feel your situation about "different circumstances." Before I met my wife, a woman that influenced many people including myself with her winning ways was a best friend (knew her for almost 40 years) and I was totally in love with her, passed before her time. Tears here too. My wife met her and became friends too. We think of her often & miss her.

The bra, I don't think you should worry about it, I believe there are moob bras out there for men.
