How would you test that? ???

Easy, plug the drain in the tub when you take your shower. See how much water is in there. Then, make each person after you keep the drain plugged. If the tub is less full than it would be had you taken a bath then you know you use less water. Make sure you take the first shower though. Otherwise you have to stand in every one elses filth.

Baths are gross! You sit in your own grime!  :icon_blah:
If I take a bath, I shower first, then fill the tub with water, soak a long time while drinking, reading, etc.., then shower again when I'm done.

So they don't take into account the simultaneous drainage of water while the tub is filling...

I still prefer showers at most twice in one day. I still don't regularly bathe, though. Sorry, CATC.  :P

It can get really random at times. But I try to keep at least once a day. I like the solitude, heat and water of the shower. It's really relaxing and gives me time to think.
Watching the birds made me feel like taking a journey. The people, the landscapes, everything was imperfect but beautiful.

I shower once a day.  I like the feeling of being clean, and the nice relaxing hot water.  Not stinking is good too.

Daily. I'd do it twice a day if I weren't so slow, and if showering weren't so tiring. It's not too bad. For some reason, whilst being naked, period, makes me feel awful, being naked in the shower, ever since erections have ceased to exist, doesn't really bother me.

Besides, ew, showering once a week, I wouldn't survive it. Because of the midterm school work rush, I skipped my shower this morning, and at 36 hours since my last shower, I already smell (mostly because tucking makes a warm area pretty close, and perspiration and such make bacteria develop), and my face is already showing signs of "wash me ASAP, or ingrowns and pimples are coming your way!"

Yeah, no. If you manage to put your mind on something else whilst showering, it should be okay. I'm a huge daze, so it's easy for me, but you could try things to keep your mind off your body. Bringing music and singing a lot, for example. Or always showering in the morning, when you're in a huge hurry. That's what I do, except that for me, the goal is to speed things up. (25 minutes instead of 40, whoo, ALMOST normal!)

I know I should take baths, but I can't. I'm just unable to clean myself if I'm soaked in water. All the cleaner just goes away, and I have to stand up to wash myself anyway. Not to mention all the disgusting stuff I may have on me (little black pieces from my socks for example) is just floating around; really disgusting. And finally, I need to empty the bath and use the shower to rinse anyway, because the water is soapy.

Oh yeah, and you always have two choices: nearly boil in the beginning, or freeze in the end, because it cools down so fast. I hate baths. Can't relax because you float or slip away, and have nowhere to put your head (or the air pillow just doesn't hold in place), can't wash yourself properly, can't sit properly, can't lie properly, and can't swim. Rwar.

I like to shower at night. I have this weird thing about going to bed "dirty". Not than I'm a dirty person. I do work out and in the summer I would definitely smell if I didn't shower daily though.  I also find it relaxing. The shower is my decompression chamber and my go-to place when I'm upset or need to chill out alone. Somehow I don't find my dysphoria that bad in the shower. I don't like being naked if I'm not in the shower or bath though. Baths are awesome. All that said, sometimes I skip a day. When I go camping (like a weekend) I usually don't shower because a lot of the campgrounds don't have facilities but, it's camping! It's like a free pass to be one with nature ;)

I always shower after I go out riding because I can't stand the dried sweat, dirt and scent that comes with a hard work out in a dirt environment. Other than that though I don't really shower consistently.... For me it's not really associated with poor body image, I just don't really do it. I used to be because my hair was so long it took forever to dry and forever to re-style. Since I got a way more manageable hair cut (literally wake up and go) I've been increasing the amount of showers I take. Right now I'm unemployed and in between schools though, so I'm still only showering once maybe twice a week. Usually my hair starts too look greasy around day 6-7.

I dunno, I suspect I'll begin showering more frequently after my top surgery and when I go back to work and school. I do wear suits and waistcoats fairly often, kind of ruins the posh look if I've got greasy hair or don't feel clean. :)

every day I shower in the morning and take a bath in the evening.

honestly I like showers and love taking my baths. Doesn't hurt water is fixed price regardless of how much I used where I live.

I shower in the work mornings, a bath would take too long on top doing the usual make up routine.  a nice relaxing bath at weekends after sleeping in late.   In the summer i might have a quick shower or bath before bed though too, to feel fresh before climbing into bed

I so miss having a tub to soak in. I'd always end it with a quick shower to rinse off soap and whatever else ended up floating in that water. Nowadays I only have access to a shower. Depending on time of year and activity level, I'll shower daily or every other day.

Went and got me a ticker, so everytime I post I'm reminded to put down whatever I was about to eat. >.>

ugh everyday how can you stand it?? so unpleasant!

once every 2-4 days, and I usually have to take baths, not that I like them I hate them and prefer showers but our shower is broken, the landlord refuses to fix the shower if you talk about reapirs with him he threatens to double the rent ¬.¬ Slumlords.

I sometimes wander off to visit my mum I get to use her shower there.

Oh I have those silly attachments that go on the bath taps but as we've found out the bath is improperly fitted to the wall aswell, water is prone to seeping through if water splashes on the far side of the bath.

At least twice a day and after every workout, which could make it up to 4 times.

I need to get some more soap as it doesn't last long.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Ever since I've been on E, I haven't really sweated as much, and thus I stink waaaay less than I used to! :)

However, I still shower every day and I could never go without! If I don't shower every day, I end up feeling oily at the end of the day... blech!  :P Bodily cleanliness is quite important to me!

I wouldn't mind having one of these bath tubs: http://www.signaturehardware.com/product7456?utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_source=google&utm_content=Bathroom-Bathtubs&adtype=pla&gclid=COHVsdj24bUCFUhV4AodLyUAFg

It was weird.  When I started HRT, I was put on finasteride with no estrogen for the first month.  My body odor disappeared.  I mean, I didn't even have to wear deodorant and my naughty bits didn't smell at all.

When I started estrogen, however, I started to funk up again.  Everything started to smell again, but now it smells DIFFERENT.

As for showering, I don't know. Every other day? It's winter now so I don't sweat.

When I shower of course I change my cloths. I'm not putting dirty cloths on a clean body. That's gross .
