Uncommon Questions About T Changes

Hey everybody. So, I've read and heard about the usual changes caused by T like increased muscle, facial hair, a deeper voice but I was wondering about some other not so commonly mentioned changes that I've recently come across. I'm not sure if all of these are to be believed or not so I thought I would ask people who have more experience with T than I do since I'm pre everything right now.

I've read that testosterone increases bone density and will give people a more chiseled looking face as the cheekbones grow but what about other parts of the body? I've heard a few people say that their hands and feet grow and I found this interesting for me personally because I have really skinny arms and wrists. I'm hoping that once I start T, the muscle gain will help keep my arms proportionate to my body but then there's the problem of my skinny wrists. (After all, I wouldn't want to have a nice masculine body with skinny little T Rex arms.  ) Since those are all bone, no amount of muscle gain will help there so I was wondering if they would change at all and if it's true that your hands and feet will grow on T.

My next question sort of relates to bone growth. I've heard a few people say that they've gained a few inches height-wise after taking T so I wondered if that was common or even true. Has anyone grown taller from T? I'm not really sure how that would even be possible so it made me curious.

And finally, facial changes. It seems to be debated whether or not T causes cartilage like in the nose and ears to grow. I've also come across a few websites claiming that testosterone causes eyelashes and eyebrows to get thicker and darker. Is any of that true?

I also feel that I should put a little disclaimer in here. I know that T isn't a miracle hormone that's going to make me or any other guy look perfect so these questions have nothing to do with that. I'm just asking out of curiosity and because I haven't been able to find information about these things anywhere else.

T does nothing for bone size, or shape, unless you're not done growing. With my cheeks, and, it's mostly been fat redistribution and muscle growth. I have some really good comparison pictures around that show what I mean. Eyebrows usually will sag, which kinds bites, but it's The only thing I know that changes and is weird.

My hands and feet have gotten bigger. I can't comfortably clean out my freezer mugs with my "new" hands, (it used to be no problem), and my old gloves no longer fit. Sad, too, because they are fur-lined leather gloves.

I had to go up a half size in shoes and go wider. I'm not sure this will be consistent from label to label, but my feet are definitely bigger.

I also grew about 7/8", but I can't be certain when that happened. The hands and feet get bigger when growing muscle spreads things out, but how would I grow taller? It's possible that I have been this height for a long time and was mismeasured a few times in the past. But how often does that happen?

What do you mean? I think I've noticed something weird around that area.

These sorts of changes are ones I most certainly wouldn't get your hopes up for - if it happens then consider it a bonus :P

My feet have gotten bigger.

My eyebrows might be thicker...I dunno. They're not something I pay too much attention to  :D but my partner commented that I have the beginnings of a unibrow coming in the other day, so I had to inspect.

My feet got bigger.

Mind you they had already gotten bigger after having 2 kids, but they got even bigger on T.  One of the things I am now glad for is that I don't have tiny feet like my mother or sisters; mine were the biggest of everyones.

Hands, haven't really noticed. They got bigger when I got fat (pre-T) but I haven't noticed them any bigger since T.  Definite body fat changes though.  I just found a pic taken a month pre-T when i weight about what I weigh now.  Totally different fat distribution.

My wrists got thicker and my hands and feet got a little wider. I grew about an inch or so and I have a friend who grew 4 inches but you will not grow any taller if your bones have already capped off. I started at 15 and my friend started at 16 so we weren't done growing yet.
Eyebrows definitely get thicker. I always thought I had thick eyebrows but now i straight up look like rock lee.

Pictures are 4 days on T, 1 year on T, and 2 years on T.

My eyes (I think) look like they are getting progressively smaller. This is partially because my eyebrows are lowering a bit.
You can also see...if you look at my ears, you can see them a little bit at the lobe in the first picture and less later on.

I noticed that too! And it freaked me out a bit. My eyelid/under brow area changed. I was kinda worried. Wonder what this is.

It does seem to help you look more male though. Wonder if that's what helped me.

Well, most people going through a plain ol' testosterone induced first puberty develop a bit of a brow ridge.

the brow could also just be age -

it happened to me in the middle of my 20s without testosterone. I notice it among other people too.  Check out cis 26 -30 year olds, both male and female. Heavy upper eye areas beginning to show all around.

when get older, our eyes start to sink back. fun, huh?  This is why people eventually get brow lifts.

but whatever helps you pass, go with it

I've been told my nose has gotten "thicker".

What I've noticed a lot lately is these wild hairs I'm getting everywhere. They're longer than the surrounding hairs by almost double. They're noticeable on my arms and eyebrows. I thought I had a dog hair on my eyebrow the other day (it was around an inch long) but when I tugged it, it was attached, lol. I'm even getting hairs on the edge of my ears.

I got some centimeter higher, got a size bigger feet, and not sure about my hands.

but I also started T in a young age when I where 18 so maybe this also play in a fact.

I'm not so sure that we can't grow a little bit taller after our bones have finished growing. I've been 5' 6" all my life (well, and 3/8), and now I'm suddenly 7/8" taller. I've been trying to remember the last time I was measured, and I remember trying to stretch it to 5' 6.5" back when I was in my twenties. So I'm now quite sure that I grew after taking T.

I don't know all that much about human anatomy beyond a physiology class I took in high school. But I wonder if our spines can "stretch out" the same way our hands do. A lot of us pick up extra tissue--muscle, I guess--between the hand bones (and apparently foot bones as well). Is it possible for the same thing (or something similar) to happen to the spine?

I've heard of many postadolescent trans men who say they've picked up a little bit of height. It's too many guys for me to simply dismiss, although I obviously cannot confirm their claims.

Thanks for all the replys!

I'm glad I won't be stuck with my skinny arms after I transition. The pictures were really helpful too, Nygeel. I see what you mean about changes in facial structure.

I've always thought the height thing was especially strange and figured that people were just imagining it or being mismeasured but it seems to be pretty common. I'm happy with my own height but it was something I was curious about since I've seen a lot of guys mention it.
