I have always felt un-comfortable when dancing.. as I am not a good dancer however I do love it no matter how bad I look.... It just seems when I go into straight clubs everyone looks at me wondering what the I am doing.....
In guy-mode, I don't dance. I have one step that gets me through wedding receptions, and that's it.
A friend of mine told me about how different it is to dance in a skirt. I was a little skeptical, until I got dragged (literally -- I wasn't just protesting for fun) out onto the dance floor by another friend. I was in a dress that hit just about at the knees. WOW what a difference. I even did OK in moderate heels!
I still think I'm clunky and awkward, and while I did get some upper-body motion going, a true "girl-dance" would be much more fluid. But it was
really FUN, and a *big* step for me.
I even went back out when they played "Man, I feel like a Woman" -- sort of the icing on the cake.

Regards!
