Hellos,  i have already made a few posts and i just came across this section so i wanted to introduce myself as well ^^

My name is Melissa Rottiers, my legal name change is still in progress so my ID still says Maxl in stead of Melissa. Anyway i am 23 years old and ill become 24 on the 23rd of august.I live in Belgium wich,  according to some friends from the US, has the best chocolate apperently (aren't i lucky ^^)  i am a MTF who started on HRT 15 days ago after more then a year of sessions at the psychologist. This also means im Pre-Op, but i will get full surgeory when i am far enough into my HRT ( SRS and Breast augmentation if neccesary). I havent really tried to talk or get contact with people who share a simular feeling ( i mean genderdysphoria, and also the other related subjects). So for me its a first time. So far i have noticed people are very helpfull towards eachother and very friendly/ supportive wich makes me a lot more comfortable. as last i just want to say hi to everyone and post this smiley because i think he has a funny hat ^^     :police:

Welcome to our place!!

Never been to Belgium...but I have been to Idaho!! (They only have cows, trees, and potatoes there).
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I dont know how that quote thing works so let me do it like this for now.

@steph21: heel erg bedankt ^^, i am from the dutch part of belgium but i speak french too. ( we are supposed to know both languages but mostly its not the case) i assume you are one of my northern neigbours ?

@beth Andrea: /laughs at the funny hat again. thank you and i just started wondering where idaho is located, i think the US but not sure where. But i bet they have chocalate too. just try to lift every package of cookies or fun dip. eventually you'll find one hiding there :D

@Develyn Marie: thank you, ooh you have belgian blood too? thats awesome ^^ was she born in belgium and moved to the US then. btw i have been in boston once before. my very first visit at the USA was wheni visited portland in Maine. one day we drove into ( massachusets i think) and drove all the way to boston. we walked in the city did some sight seeing ( there was this big hall with all kinds of food :D) we had some baby back ribs for dinner and drove back to portland then.

@Ms OBrien: thank you for the links, i read the majority of them between reading other posts.  but  didnt read the post ranks yet so that clarifies why i couldnt find where to put my birthday. I am definitly willing to share a lot of my expierences thoughts dreams and nightmares. I am still at the beginning of the adventure so most things have yet to come :)

Hallo Melissa,

Anyway, welcome to Susans. It is always nice to meet new people in our community.

Congratulations on your progress. I am so happy for you.

Hay Maegan, ja ik versta zuid afrikaans ook wel.

" translation: yes i also understand south afrikan"

dutch vs. south afrikan is soo weird its soo different yet i still manage to understand most of it. it feels like a very mutated slang of dutch ( wich it in reality is i guess)
i have talked to a south afrikan before he lives in the US for quite some years now. but we have talked with eachother a lot of times. he was speaking south afrikan i was speaking dutch. so i already know "baie" ( wich is unknown in dutch) means "good" ^^

Wat raar dat er zo veel mensen hier zijn die Nederlands verstaan :-P ik heb voor een paar jaar in eindhoven gewoont dus kan ik een woord of twee.  Maar verscheinlijk is het Helemaal onleesbaar!

Translation: i speak some Dutch but I am probably a bit bad at it by now.

Lillymon

oww so dutch isnt your native language Steph? because i wouldnt have noticed reading your posts so far. where do you come from then? all your sentences are completely correct. i just noticed you mean " waarschijnlijk" in stead of "verscheinlijk" if you try to say probably. other then that nothing wrong at all.

I always thought it was the other way around!  But yes, you are not wrong.

You are more than welcome to PM me in Dutch if you want to. It will help me to understand your language a little better.

@Steph21 - Hell, that was good. I even understood every word you said.

Haay Develyn, so thats how you got your belgian roots. well i learned in school that during world war 2  there were a lot of families fleeing to america back then. could it be possible that was the situation /reason your grand parents ended up there? about the translator, well thats good to know but eventough dutch has a a lot of dialects ( slang) here ever town almost has a different dialect. so sometimes i could use those dialect words without noticing because im soo yused to soo many of them. aaand the translator wont know what they mean. soo im just gonna keep it english ^^ but thanks anyway for the hint :D

haay albina, well its actually very funny because at first i didn't know about  the popularity of Belgian chocolate before. i just grew up with it and i considered it as just chocolate, until i was 20 years old i made my very first ( solo) vacation to the USA. when i got there and i told people i was from Belgian, the only thing that came out was  "OMG DID YOU BRING CHOCOLATE?" i totally didn't get why it was so special. until i tried some US chocolate, i think it was hershies or something like that and... i pretty much said it wasn't even close to chocolate :p so now i worship and respect my Belgian chocolate a lot more ^^
