mine would be the idea of an unconditionally loving god who is judgmental and would allow a place like hell to exist.

Ditto.  This has always been the ultimate conundrum for me.  It even bothered me more than my own GID.  It was also my misguided misbeliefs that prevented me for dealing with my GID when I was very young.  Why did I suck into that crap?

Wow, am I blunt tonight or what?

Mine is giving conscious beings, finite lifespans. Seems sort of cruel.

Usually it is when a song gets stuck in my head and I have to hum it out because my singing would cause a massive stampede of coworkers as they headed for safety.

I did not say 'hmmmm' to that, I said 'I DON'T THINK SO'.

i'd rather hear the [blunt] truth than a sugar-coated lie.

The thing that makes me go "hmmmm" the most would have to be human beings.  Each human seems to crave respect and love (with some exceptions) but so many do not treat others with respect and love.  The lack of ability in humans to follow that "Golden rule" of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" fills me with incredulousness (is that even a word or the right word?  It *feels* right...)

Why do kitty cats love looking through the windows?  Even when it's dark, rainy and foggy, they seem to be looking for something or someone.  Hmmmmm

I think it's their hunting instinct; find a good place to lie in wait and ambush your prey when it passes.

terribly bored, but to have a finite animal that knows it still strikes me as cruel.

Well, here's the deal, to me. I know No Such Thing as what you are asserting.

IE: My mind, 'part of' all mind, is infinite.

The impermanence of this shell? Not a problem. (Getting crusty round some of the edges already, and my century is barely half over.)

(Does that make one go 'hmmmmmm'?)

Fiona!

That one made my eyes water from laughing so hard!  I'm at work and trying not to make a complete fool of myself!  But I DID spray the monitor when I saw it!

Thanks!  That really perked up an otherwise dull afternoon!

ROFL  ;D  what a hoot!  I hope it's their hunting instinct and not something which causes them sadness.  Sometimes, I feel that there's an untold story behind those melancholic eyes.  :(

I love kitty cats!
