Hi.

I am starting to get nervous about the trip home :P.

How will the lower pressure etc affect me now after surgery? it will only have passed 10 days when I am going (tomorrow) and I am a bit afraid of headaches or whatever that may come up. Increased swelling?

Somebody must have experience about this?

Thanks

I googled searched & couldn't seem to find much, your are good to go after 7 to 8 days. If your Doctor hasn't said anything negative I suppose that is a good sign. Maybe you should ask the surgeon, medical staff or nurses. Unless there is a pre check out info session or material you got. Hopefully someone here has the experience and can tell you.

Safe & Happy flying.

I will go to the hospital soon to get stitches removed. I will ask them, I just wanted to know if there was someone who did experience how flight was after =/. Because I dont think that the doctors have flown themselves after a surgery like that.

Hopefully I will know later on today.

Hope it won't be too bad having the stitches removed.

You must be excited to be back in your home & a good sleep in your own bed.

Take care.

Carolina, lot of people have flown on commercial aircraft after oral and maxillofacial surgeries.  As I recall (and correct me, as you are the professional) the cabins are pressurized to something like 2,400 meters or 8,000 feet.

Perhaps it would be good to take some sort of decongestant to keep your sinuses and ears clear.

Välkommen hem!

It was no problem at all :). I am just very very anxious sometimes.

So now I am at home finally. Just to let the body heal now.
