i've been looking into getting the Goodfella by Vixskin,
and i heard it could also be used as a hard packer.
but, what i want to know is, how would one pack with it? would i need a harness? and how would i position it?

Try packing it away from your dominate hand or downward but it depends are how you wear your pants. In terms of harness check out the Aslan harness, the tomboi by spareparts, an stp harness or your could use a DIY harness. See what works for you.
