Congrats man, it was a scary experience the first time I did it, like I ran in there and ran out. The more you do it, the easier it gets. I don't know how, but it just does. I guess it's because the more you see that nothing happens, the more confident you get. The only awkward feeling is that it sounds distinctly different for a cismale peeing sitting down than it does for a pre-op transman, but I've learned how to make it nearly silent :3

Now, I walk around like a boss in the locker rooms, not giving a crap. No one pays attention to me, and if they do, it's a friendly word or two from a man to a man.

I need to comment as I have been using the men's for over a year now.  I first time was by accident when I asked where the restroom was and was pointed to the men's, actually went in, walked passed men's at urinals and used a stall, on one reacted.  I thought this was easy no one seem to notice or care I was in there.  At school I use the men's in a building where is it unlikely I will see someone I know, as some students know my history and some don't.  I do like the single person ones with a toilet and urinal.  I have tried a STP in the shower but have no confidence or real success with my jeans on.  As Jay suggested using one of these urinals would be a great way to practice.  I need to try practicing with of these. I had to go at a football game and knew I could wait until it was over.  As I dressed and accepted as a guy so I had to use the men's.  I went in many guys going ever which way, urinals on all the walls maybe 40-50 of them with nothing between them, then I saw a line a stalls at one the far end. I walked down there and there was one free, so I used it; I sat down and it felt so good to be able to pee that I didn't care if someone noticed and noone did.  This has to be the most scary experience for me in the men's after the first time.  Guys have no problem walking up to an urinal, pulling it out and peeing with guys on both sides doing the same.

I wasn't really scared. I think I was so surrounded by trans people that the odds of someone who was trans walking in were kind of high. It was kind of a perfect place. OTOH, I guess I was not entirely relaxed as I didn't completely empty my bladder (a little TMI for your amusement :))
