I see flickers of her every now and then, when I first look in a bathroom mirror.  I dare not look longer than a few moments or I begin to deconstruct everything wrong.  I see her in my pictures... but in 3D, she's more elusive.

Over time, she shows her face more and more until she finally emerges from the vestiges of her shell, and lives, in public, 24/7.

Hideyoshi, you can't let the negativity be in control of the mirror, your voice or anything else in your transition. You look really cute and female to me, and from threads I've read in reply to recent photos of you in "you look fabulous darling", I'm far from the only girl who thinks so! I think that photo of you and your friend is one of the cutest, coolest pics I've seen in a long time, and you're absolutely adorable in that dress. That's the you you should see yourself as, because how you look there and in other great pics isn't some happy accident. You're a pretty young lady getting prettier daily. I wrote tonight in the "you look fabulous, darling" thread about some of the things I've done to make passing for me a non issue and they're definite confidence boosters. I know I'm not all that, but for the last year or so I only see the woman I always knew was there under my layers of male impersonation. That 24/7 Halloween disaster once known as Randy is long gone and I can't even see a glimpse of me trying to be male at all. Someday girl, you'll see only the beautiful girl you're becoming and won't even be able to conjure up the boy you never really were without a photograph! And it will be sooner than you think.
