I was wondering if anyone would like to share their experiences with facial laser hair removal, especially older girls who have well established male facial hair to begin with.

I'm curious as to how long it was before the laser and HRT made any appreciable difference to the need to shave, or any other worthwhile effects.

I know a lot about about lasers....
I am a 39 yo girl....

Okay if works....if you have type 1-4 skin and black hair...
You can always find your skin type in respect to lasers online

Basically what you want is lightsheer diode....or....if you got sand...
Nd yag.....
Takes a first timer east 60 mins....think about sticking your face on a element
For a fraction of a second....it doesn't burn...it may appear to burn skin...
Mostly hair expulsion...it can get blasted right out of the shaft to wind up
meeting a lasrr and getting incinerated on to skin...

Basically it is a really really fast way to burn roots just like electrolysis...
The pain by The fifth pass is bearable....expect to do
At least 12 full face passés....

I started lightsheer diode thé week or HRT...every rive weeks
And in seeing à pay off already....so basically four months....

Just do it...

I've had 2 treatments at my local laser clinic where they use medical grade lasers (YAg and Alexandrite) The treatments have been 3 weeks apart and I have another 7 sessions booked. Since I have plenty of grey hairs i expect the laser will only do half the job, but better that than doing the whole lot by electrolysis.

Usually 6 weeks apart is recommended to get the next growth cycle. I had about 9 sessions in total and the upper lip hurts like bejasas.

Visible results from the first complete face pass, which took three session on three areas. Next she could cover my entire face in one session.

I had grey and black, black went and some grey. Spiro got rid of the rest.

I went to a laser clinic that specialised in treating woman with severe POCS, all of the techs were RNs. They were fantastic.

If you don't have a lot of facial hair and it's not that dense, is it possible they could do a complete first pass the first time so you would have visible results quickly?

I always did a full pass even the first ...
Soak a tube of emla into your face....
Hold on tight...think of sex...and tell the
Tech to blaze fast and stop only when tearing

That's an interesting comment about the spiro Cindy, as most people I've seen commenting on the issue say that anti androgens won't eliminate facial hair. I'd be ecstatic if they did but time will tell on that one. I might have to do some more research about the interval between treatments. The clinic indicated that once it thins out the interval is normally increased.

Joanna - I have dense facial hair and it is a mix of dark & grey so I don't expect any quick results (unfortunately).

For the time being it hurts like hell. I am guessing that the pain is indicative of the fact that it is actually frying the hairs (the bbq aromas would seem to back up that observation too). So whether they be grey or black, something is getting cooked into non existence and that is what I tell myself through gritted teeth ;)

The first time they did my complete face in one go and yesterday they did my face and neck in one go. Their laser does include a cooling system which times a burst of cold spray each time the laser fires ... that feels a bit funky when they are doing just under my nostrils!

Do make sure you are closely shaved prior to laser. If you smell burnt hair it is burning hair that has grown out and that is a waste of time. The laser is to kill the hair follicles, not to remove surface hair.

I had a remarkable response to Spiro, my body hair cycle has gone to a female cycle. I did not have a lot of facial hair post laser (I had a lot before) and this decreased post spiro. I have not had to return for laser follow up in 2 years.

Pain? My protective goggles were full of tears.

My laser techs would hug me and tell me what a brave girl I was.

No Cindy you can smell the roots burning also...
There can be expulsion of hair also...that gets burned on the skin.
.
And I shave with a five blade razor before lasing...
But i think I like the burn lol...she's got me up to like
Around 30 joules
