I just did this on the FTM forum. I scored -475 (masculine).

These tests always make me laugh.  They are fun and interesting, but severely flawed.  For example, just because I am a vegetarian and a leftist, I am marked as feminine.  Granted, I love it, but it just seems so silly.  And what men get turned on by breast feeding?!  How is that even slightly arousing?  I don't think that most men would respond to that as arousing.  Plus, there are just some weird stereotypes in this study.  So, I suck at giving directions and don't know how to fix cars.  This is what defines my female identity?  It just seems very far fetched. 

Don't get me wrong, have fun with the tests.  However, please don't ever use it to discover your identity.  I don't find the questioning or the results to be as accurate as we may hope.  For example, it states that I am likely post op or in transition when I am just starting my transition.  So, take everything with a grain of salt.

I did this a while ago, before I started my transition. I was interested to see whether my scores have changed now that I'm doing my RLE. And they have! Previously, it said that my appearance was androgynous, but now it reflects the fact that I present full-time as male.

There are cultural differences that this test can't detect. For example, in the questions about your preference for a car, it mentions things like a 'hotrod' or a 'pickup truck': these vehicles are not part of our culture in the UK. So as learningtolive said, this test really needs to be taken with a massive pinch of salt.

It's a silly test that's meant to help discover someones gender identity.  So, it's supposed help you discover if you are a transsexual, a likely transsexual, androgynous, cis gender, etc... In theory it is fine, but the methodology is incredibly poor.  Some of the questions are built on stereotypes that don't apply to all men or women.  For example, I suck at math (social science ftw), but I know plenty of women do fairly well in that field.  Does that mean those women are really men? No, but the test will factor that in as having more manly thinking patterns.  Also, questions about your favorite monkey, opinions on vegetarianism and political identity,don't establish any real basis to determine one's gender.  Apparently, if you're a guy who enjoys a salad, you should totally have a sex change.  I mean ...really?  I think these tests do more harm than good because it can persuade people that they are something that they are not.  Gender identity is so much more complex than taking a multiple choice test. 

Having said that, it's a fun test for what it is.  Also, since it usually gives back the desired result and validates one's feelings, it does provide a sense of reassurance and confidence for those who need it.

Hahaha. Remember everybody, this is based on averages, so it shouldn't invalidate anything.
