Tumbleweeds.

A typical joke, please excuse no images:

Tumbleweeds, standing on a porch. Claude Clay, the town's undertaker, walks into the comic.

Claude: "Hiya Tumbleweed! Notice anything...different?" (poses as if modeling)

Tumbleweed: "Nope."

C: "I got a new suit!"

T: *looks confused*

C: "The old one was deep raven. This one's deep jet." (Remember, this is a black and white comic LOL)

T: *looks bemused*

C: "What's the matter? Color-blind?"

Heh, well *I* thought it was funny.

I love Cathy.  I can so relate to her.

9 Chickweed Lane I liked, but the locals had such an outcry that the paper replaced it with...I don't remember, but it made me stop reading the funnies altogether.

newspaper comic's? I always go hunting for calvin and hobbs or garfield, that foxtrot is a good one!
