Mom of Madi

Hello, I have a transitioning adult child with many of the same things I have been reading about in your comments. I hope to learn alot here and also to be able to share our experiences too. Madi does not use a computer much so here I am. :)
She is MTF,  has  tourette syndrome,  crohn's disease,  severely learning disabled, dysgraphic,  possibly Aspergers and much more. She is also a very wonderful, smart, kind hearted person and a real challenge!  :P

I am also new to chatting and will make many mistakes....please bare with me.....

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another parent.

What a dear lady you are! It seems that you have a lot on your plate but handle it in stride gracefully with love for your child. It's as I have been telling so many young people here who have inordinate fears and anxiety about coming out to parents, mom's rarely throw their babies away in spite of adversity and overwhelming odds, after all that child sprang from her womb and is a part of her. Love you mom, you are a wonderful lady, God bless your sweet heart!

Hello Mom of Madi!  Welcome from sunny southern California.

My wife is a teacher of disabled kids, and I have the opportunity to help out in the class and at the school from time to time.  I well understand what a special parent you have to be be when you have a special child.  My congratulations to you.

Please make yourself known in our "Significant Others board.
