A transgender woman from New York was arrested in Savannah, Ga., last week for allegedly exposing her breasts, reports Savannah's WSAV. But when deputies booked Ashley Del Valle, 38, she says a nurse examined her genitals, and determined that she was "technically a male." As a result, Del Valle was placed in a holding cell in the men's prison ward.

Del Valle was alone in various cells in the men's ward for three days before her family posted her $3,500 bail. She told WSAV that she often felt unsafe, and claims that deputies repeatedly referred to her as "thing," "brotha," and "nigga."

I smell a lawsuit in the works, she should of got placed in solitary - it is the job of those enforcing the laws to still provide protection even when incarcerated by them if there is the potential of harm

This is all too familiar as it happened to me about five years ago as well. My wife had overdone the drinks and went on a rant over my friendship with a trans woman I knew. Long story but she called the police when the rickety chair I was sitting on collapsed, I wasn't drinking either it was her thing. I was arrested for domestic violence and hauled off unceremoniously in cuffs to a nearby municipal police department jail. They had me strip to my panties and outfitted me in an orange jumpsuit that was so small that I couldn't zip it above my solar plexus and so my boobs were exposed in full view which wasn't at all cute. Then the desk Sgt. assigned me to be placed in a large cell with the general male population. I think I saw some eyeballs pop out when I walked in and it scared the hell out of me. I rang the buzzer until they came and took me out and I spent the weekend in a separate cell by myself. Life's a bitch and then you die! Anyway, an attorney and $2700 down a rathole and I was cleared and off the hook on this nanny state BS charge.

With the help of the particular members of the so called LGBT-community the jails will go automatically based on the chromosomes. Small price for that Gay marriage oops marriage equality.
The constitutional republic was not intended to mean a formal democracy where behindt he curtain the military and the  espionage agencies have all the power.
