Right know I'm taking the herbal HRT route due to I can't afford to the price of the other HRT route. I'm just wondering if anyone else on this forum are taking these and how long did it take before you and friends/family started to notice any changes. Right now I'm 5 months on Androease(T-Reducer) and 3 weeks on Feminol 2.0(estrogen.)

Not really estrogen in Feminol.  Phytoestrogen.  And the ingredients list is troublesome ...

I tried to find the ingredients or formulation of "Androease" on the net, with no luck.  Odd, don't you think?

You pay $17 for 60 pills, and they suggest up to 6 pills per day.  That works out to over $50 per month for a substance that you have no idea what's in it.

I could get a spironolactone prescription for $10 per month.  Even if I used a pharmacy plan, I would pay less than what you are paying, and get a product that has been clinically tested.

Do you know how dangerous herbals can be?  Do you know some herbals can have deadly drug interactions with some medications?  If you ask me, you are throwing your money away.

Herbals are NOT cheaper than the real things.  Phytoestrogens can be dangerous since they will do nothing until you have had too much, and then it is stroke, dvt and a wide variety of other little nastys.  I personally know someone who did themselves completely out of potential SRS for taking the herbals, the DVT she developed involved her pelvic area and its circulation.

I used "vitamin" type female pills for two years and spend several hundred dollars, and that was all it did, ate my money.

DVT = Deep Vein Thrombosis = blod clot in a vein.
I refuse to have a war of wits with a half armed opponent!!

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!

I can testify to NOT TAKING THE HERBAL ROUTE. There is no herbal route. Its a big waste of money. A scam to attract small busted women and transsexuals.
The real hormone route is much cheaper and actually works. Its much easier than you may think too. My endo was willing to treat me without my psychiatrist's letter. And you know, even if your endo needs a letter from a therapist, its really not that big of deal. The actual cost of maintained HRT is only like $50 a month at most if you take the cheap generic pill route. And this is without insurance. With insurance, I only pay $20 a month. And just incase you didn't know, you can sign up for Walgreens Prescription Savings Plan. For just $20 a year you can get a three month supply of estradiol and spironolactone for just $60.
I'll admit the startup cost for HRT can be high, especially if you don't have insurance, but it is worth it. Without insurance, it will likely cost about $1000-1,500 to get started with HRT. But in the end its safer, actually works, and is actually cheaper.

If I were you, I'd stop taking the herbs now. I remember I had only been taking them for a month or two. One night I started to feel horrible chest palpitations. Whether it was the herbs or not, I don't care. I needed a real doctor to help me.
