Anyone else come across this?

Mom, stepdad and a few friends all have hit me with this; "We'll call you sir when you get one(refering to the little guy down stairs)/When you are one."

Im not very out spoken and HAAAAATE conflict but when everyone said almost the exact same thing I froze and ignored it and now I regret it.

I unfortunately live stupidly far away from everyone how gave me this slap in the face, so Im waiting for a new computer so I can write up a proper public response to everything.

They seem either accepting but lazy or give me the message that they dont care what I think. I personally feel insulted and uncomfortable and hopefully everything will become clear over time?

Tell me ladies and gents; Had this happen before? How did you/are you dealing with it?
I'm shy, and rarely reply, but give me time and I'll eventually open up to Susan's ^u^

Yes I deal with this from some family members. And use to from people in school. I would correct them in a heart beat. I really did not like that kind of treatment

ignorance and plain straight bigotry- I had a couple people who did a similer thing and I said I'm sorry you feel this way-have a nice life...  their loss, if they dont want me as a friend or family member. I view those people as very selfish, if they truly cared they would be there for you no matter what, and we have enough on our plate to have such transparent people around us.
