The closest I've come are these examples:
1. Climbing up the stairs next to Shuttle Discovery as she sat upright in the VAB at Kennedy Space Center as we got ready to return to space after Challenger. I touched her wing and fuselage. This made the final flight with Atlantis extra emotional for me since I had already been up close with a shuttle.
2. Laying under the stars on a camping trip and watching the sky. We must have seen about 30 meteors streak by, as well as one international space station and one satellite.
3. Watching STS-135 (Atlantis) streak across the sky at night after departing the ISS for the final time.
