I'm sure he is quite cute but I have no need for reptiles. As a kid I killed too many lizards trying to make them into pets. The guilt was overwhelming. Now seeing them as pets just makes me feel bad. They always look sad to me. He does look real healthy though, apparently you have learned how to care for him. As long as you are both happy, more power to you.
Love always,
Elizabeth
There are two sides to keeping such creatures as pets. They are high maintenance and a person needs lots of knowledge about them to be able to keep them. In a way, it's wrong because they should be in their natural habitat out in the wild to enjoy their life as they should be. On another note, as long as owners of these guys are responsible and look after them properly, giving them the best of care and love, then they can be very rewarding animals as well as very educative because we learn about these animals upon owning them, we learn their eating habits, their temperaments and so on. And, in the care of experienced owners, these kind of pets live longer in captivity than they do in the wild because all the danger's such as predators and risk of disease is taken away.
I understand they are not for everybody. But Elizabeth, dont give up! If you read up on how to care for these wonderful creatures and learn a lot about them before you get one, I am sure you will not regret it!
And thanks everyone for such great comments about him! Fayte loves you all
